Abstract

The article is devoted to the possibilities and prospects of using innovative teaching methods in the process of forming intercultural competence. To achieve this goal, the importance and place of intercultural competence in the general system of competencies of future specialists were characterized in the process of scientific research and the properties of intercultural competence were revealed. The main task of the new educational standards is to form a set of competencies during training that will allow future specialists to effectively carry out professional activities in the context of globalization and integration, the expansion of a multicultural environment. The article characterizes the role and importance of intercultural competence in the training and development of future specialists in the context of globalization of the modern social space. The need for a non-standard system of training specialists has become an incentive for the widespread use of business games to develop intercultural competence. The article characterizes the peculiarities of the formation of intercultural competence of students in the educational space of higher education institutions using innovative teaching methods. The use of business games in the process of professional training is one of the most relevant areas for improving the effectiveness of educational activities in any field. As a result of the testing, business metaphorical games were recognized as the most productive, in the process of which students form a new view of professional activity in a multicultural environment. The main task of the metaphorical game is to find a new way to resolve a situation in the process of intercultural communication. The uniqueness of this method lies in the fact that a metaphor is used to solve a business situation. Based on the results of the analysis, the article characterizes the features of the metaphorical game, its possibilities and advantages in the formation of intercultural competence in future specialists in the educational space of higher education institutions.
