STUDY OF FOREIGN EXPERIENCE IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SOCIAL PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE PREVENTION OF HIV/AIDS

The problem of HIV/AIDS prevention was considered by studying foreign social projects and programs as an element of their implementation and formation of professional skills of future social workers. The essence of the concept of «HIV/ AIDS prevention» is revealed; the peculiarities of the preventive process, which is aimed at the formation and development of self-educational activities regarding the prevention of HIV/AIDS, were investigated. The conditions for the successful implementation of preventive social projects and programs in the practice of different countries have been determined. Normative and legal documents on the issue of HIV/AIDS prevention are given. The current epidemic situation regarding the spread of HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and the state of preventive work to prevent the spread of the disease are analyzed. The experience and prospects of using interactive and training psychologicalpedagogical technologies for the implementation of preventive projects, programs and measures to prevent risky behavior of young people and increase the effectiveness of learning knowledge on preventive education are considered. Programs and a schematic overview of preventive measures in the USA, Great Britain, and Switzerland regarding the spread of HIV infection and AIDS are given. The medical and social significance of HIV infection, as well as the essence of Ukraine's policy in the field of combating it, are considered. Information on the HIV/AIDS epidemic on a global scale is presented. The epidemiological features of the spread and driving forces of the epidemiological process of HIV infection in the state are analyzed. The issue of methodology of social monitoring (SM), technology of its implementation, methods of evaluating the effectiveness of social programs/projects was considered. The methods and techniques of CM planning aimed at helping in the implementation of these programs, in particular, in the field of health care, are described. The social aspects of the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine are revealed. The prerequisites and factors for the development of the AIDS pandemic are identified, and the social and economic consequences of this phenomenon are considered. The dynamics and regional features of the spread of the epidemic among the population of Ukraine were studied, and the categories most vulnerable to HIV infection were determined. Official statistical data on the spread of HIV infection/AIDS are presented. The issue of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the disease is covered, the procedure for conducting a medical examination for the purpose of detecting HIV infection is determined. The main provisions of domestic legislation in the field of combating HIV/AIDS are analyzed, the state policy of Ukraine regarding its prevention and the social rights of infected persons are considered.
