Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of the method of increasing the level of mathematical abilities in preschool children with the help of plot-role games. The analysis of the researched problem is carried out, the essence of concepts “mathematical development”, “mathematical abilities” is found out, their features are revealed. Having analyzed and systematized terms, concepts and categories in the mathematical development of preschool children, we were able to consider the rank interdependence between concepts in the process of mathematical development of children. This made it possible to generalize the essence of the concept of mathematical development – the process of qualitative and quantitative changes in the intellectual sphere of personality, which arise as a result of the formation of basic mathematical concepts, concepts and related logical operations. Criteria, indicators and levels of development of logical and mathematical competence of preschool children in general and mathematical abilities in particular in modern conditions are specified. A method of increasing the level of mathematical abilities in preschool children with the help of plot-role games has been developed and substantiated. It is determined that the effectiveness of the method will be ensured under the following pedagogical conditions: the creation by the teacher of a comfortable developmental environment in the preschool institution to ensure the effectiveness of the process of development of mathematical abilities; realization of constructive interaction of teachers and parents in the process of logical and mathematical development; taking into account the age and individual characteristics of the development of preschool children in the process of developing mathematical abilities; introduction of a step-by-step method of increasing the development of mathematical abilities in children.
