FORMATION OF RESEARCH SKILLS IN FUTURE EDUCATORS DURING PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Abstract

The aim of the article is to substantiate the theoretical and practical aspects of forming research skills in future educators during their professional training.In the course of scientific research, research skills are considered as the ability and readiness of an individual, based on acquired knowledge, to carry out research activities with a clear understanding of its purpose, conditions, and means of activity in order to study certain phenomena, processes, facts, etc.; as the ability to consciously operate mental logical operations of analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison, etc., to perform mental and research actions to search for unknown knowledge. It is determined that research skills are formed in research activities.The theoretical and practical aspects of forming research skills of second (master’s) level higher education students in the specialty 012 Preschool Education are analyzed.Based on the analysis of the Professional Standard of a preschool education institution educator and the educational and professional program for training a specialist – master of preschool education, the necessity and importance of forming research skills in future educators as a component of research competence are determined. Groups of research skills are characterized, namely: analytical-synthetic, project-diagnostic, project-algorithmic, and evaluation-criteria.The formation of research skills in students can be carried out during the study of educational components (educational- research activities) and the analysis of the educational component “Methodology of Scientific and Pedagogical Research” and pre-diploma (scientific-research) practice, which contains significant potential in forming research skills of masters.It is established that during scientific research work, research skills are formed provided that students participate in scientific problem groups, circles, competitions, seminars, olympiads, etc. The important role of informal education in improving the research skills of future educators is emphasized.
