NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION IN THE FUTURE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF A TEACHER OF A NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

Abstract

The article highlights the issue of non-verbal communication of future teachers of the New Ukrainian School. It is emphasized that in the process of partner interaction, non-verbal means of communication play an important role: gestures, facial expressions, gaze, manners, appearance, posture, the ability to keep a distance, movements during the lesson, etc., which are components of the pedagogical mastery of the teacher of the New Ukrainian School. Attention is drawn to the fact that in the Professional Standard “Teacher of a general secondary education institution”, two more components are added to the concept of competence – communication (to what extent teachers competently interact with all participants of the educational process) and responsibility and autonomy. It has been specified that the labor function A1. Linguistic and communicative competence involves the ability and skills to “apply techniques and methods of enriching the speech of students of education to express their thoughts, feelings and attitudes, to promote speech creativity of students of education (A1.U2.), to use communication as a tool for the formation of value attitudes in students of education (A2 .5.K1.). It is noted that one of the principles of partnership pedagogy is dialogue – interaction – mutual respect, which involves changing one-way authoritarian teacher-student communication to the ability to build relationships between students, teachers, parents, management and other participants in the educational process based on mutual respect, the ability to listen and hear others, to express their own thoughts and emotions. It is asserted that the interaction of the teacher and students of education consists primarily in the exchange of educational and cognitive information both verbally and with the help of various means of non-verbal communication, which should not be artificial, mechanically borrowed from someone, but organic for the teacher, expressing his individual and unique personality. The classification of non-verbal means of communication is presented by F. Bacevicha, O. Selivanova. The means of non-verbal communication for future teachers of the New Ukrainian School for the effective organization of relationships between partners in the educational process, ensuring the social and psychological well-being of students and teachers, solving educational goals and achieving the expected learning outcomes have been determined.
