FORMATION OF SPELLING SKILLS IN PRIMARY EDUCATION STUDENTS

The article examines the current problems of forming orthographic skills in primary education students. Spelling skills are an important component of speech culture, the formation of which will never lose its relevance. In addition, language is not only a means of communication but also a defining marker of national identity. The formation of speech culture among students of primary education will contribute to the development of a sense of belonging to the Ukrainian nation and the education of a nationally conscious personality. Improving orthographic skills will contribute to deeper assimilation of language norms, effective communication, and the formation of a positive language image. Therefore, the formation of orthographic skills at the initial stage of education will avoid mistakes in speech, and develop auditory perception and confidence in communication. It was found that an important aspect in the formation of orthographic skills of students of primary education is the introduction of innovative technologies into the educational process, which makes it possible to reduce the load and optimize the process of successful knowledge acquisition, as well as to create conditions for the manifestation of cognitive activity, development and worldview of the individual. The work highlights the main ways of forming orthographic skills of students, which includes work on the assimilation of theoretical knowledge of orthography, as well as the active practical practice of correct speech skills. Important attention is also focused on work with speech technique and intonation. The formation of orthographic skills in students provides a systematic approach to language learning, which is an important basis for the development of the speaking competence of students of the New Ukrainian School.
